Meet the Founders

A Vision for Modern Comfort

Founded by Francis and Esther in August 2023, Soooka Cafe began as a simple dream — to redefine what "comfort food" looks like in the modern Malaysian landscape.

The name Soooka comes from the Malay word "suka" (to like or to love). We wanted to create a space where everyone feels an instant connection — not just through the food, but through the warmth of our hospitality and the cosiness of our space.

Every recipe in our kitchen is a tribute to our heritage, elevated with contemporary techniques and the freshest local ingredients we can source. From the crispy artisan cakoi crafted by a specialist with 25 years of experience, to our slow-braised duck noodles that simmer for hours — everything is made with intention and care.

What started as a neighbourhood cafe has grown into a destination for food lovers across the Klang Valley. We were humbled to be featured in Malay Mail in April 2024, and we continue to be driven by the same passion that started it all — sharing honest, comforting food with people we care about.
