Fresh Daily

Our comfort bowls at Soooka Cafe in Damansara Perdana draw from the rich tapestry of Malaysian and Chinese culinary traditions, reimagined for the modern diner. Each bowl is a labour of love -from the 12-hour braised duck in our signature flat white noodles to the silky handmade fish paste balls in our porridge.

Our Signature Comfort Bowls

Braised Duck Flat White Noodles

This is the dish that put Soooka on the map. Tender duck leg, slow-braised for over 12 hours in a Thai-Teochew herbal broth until the meat falls off the bone. The broth is a labour of patience -a carefully balanced blend of herbs and aromatic spices that develops a deeply layered, complex flavour you can’t rush.

Served over silky smooth flat noodles (kuey teow) with fresh bok choy and a fiery sambal on the side for those who like a little kick. It’s the kind of bowl that warms you from the inside out, no matter the weather outside.

Price: RM 22.90

Handmade Fish Paste Ball Porridge

Comfort in its purest form. Our porridge is cooked low and slow until the rice breaks down into a smooth, silky congee base. The star of the dish is our handmade fish paste balls -crafted fresh daily using traditional techniques to achieve that distinctive QQ (bouncy) texture that factory-made fish balls simply can’t match.

Topped with crispy cakoi coins for crunch, spring onions, and a drizzle of sesame oil. Perfect for mornings, rainy days, or whenever you need a soul-soothing bowl.

Price: RM 17.90

Seafood Noodle

A lighter option that doesn’t compromise on flavour. Fresh prawns, fish slices, and vegetables tossed with wok hei heat in a clean, aromatic broth served over your choice of noodles. It’s the kind of dish that proves simplicity done well is the highest form of cooking.

Price: RM 19.90

Fish Meehoon

Delicate rice vermicelli in a clear, light broth with smooth slices of fresh fish. This is our nod to the classic mee hoon soup found in markets across Malaysia, elevated with the freshest ingredients and careful technique.

Price: RM 18.90

Beef Noodles

Rich, hearty beef broth with tender slices of beef, served over springy noodles. Garnished with fresh herbs and accompanied by our house chilli sauce. A satisfying meal that delivers on both flavour and comfort.

Price: RM 21.90

Nasi Lemak

No Malaysian cafe is complete without nasi lemak. Our version features fragrant coconut rice, spicy sambal, crispy fried chicken, anchovies, roasted peanuts, and a perfectly fried egg. Traditional done right.

Fresh Daily, Always

Every dish on our menu is prepared fresh daily. We don’t compromise on ingredients -our fish paste is hand-blended, our duck broth is slow-simmered overnight, and our rice is steamed to perfection every morning. At Soooka, “fresh daily” isn’t just a slogan; it’s how we honour the heritage recipes that inspire us.

Questions About Our Mains

What is the braised duck noodle made with?
Our Braised Duck Flat White Noodles feature duck slow-braised for over 12 hours in a Thai-Teochew herbal broth. Served over smooth flat noodles (kuey teow) with a spicy sambal on the side. The broth develops a deep, complex flavour from a carefully guarded blend of herbs and spices.
Are the fish balls really handmade?
Yes! Our fish paste balls are handmade fresh daily in-house. This gives them the distinctive QQ (bouncy) texture that you won't find with factory-made fish balls. We use fresh fish paste and traditional shaping techniques.
Do you have vegetarian main options?
While our mains are primarily meat and seafood-based, we do offer some lighter options and are happy to accommodate dietary needs where possible. Please speak with our team when you visit.
